All the Things Left Unsaid is my debut poetry book that is a chronological story of my life through poetry. It begins when I was just 16 and was finished in August at the age of 23.
To think that an angry teenager with a broken heart and a broken home with nobody to listen to his words would turn his aches into poetry.
This is not only a book of love poems, some short and sweet, others long and cruel, but a book of how I came to love myself. A story of my heart through the eyes of the boy I was into the man I have become. To say I lay myself bare would be an understatement. My deepest pains and my greatest loves are laid as naked as Adam and Eve.
I have had the honor of loving some of these women and I have had the journey of healing from others, but each one holds a great value in my life.
I wish I could say I have only ever loved women, but the person we lie to the most is ourselves, so I can not shy away from my love of drugs. Addiction in some ways was my first love. Drugs consumed my life, destroyed my relationships, and hollowed me out. There will be heavy themes throughout this entire book. And as any hopeless romantic would, there are even poems dedicated to the drugs themselves. Deal with it or find a different poetry book.
